Annalee Doll Description: Open eyes, open mouth, brown hair, white bonnet, blue dress, brown and white check apron with patches, black shoes, dipping candles over a black metal pot containing wax, pot is on a cloth fireplace, small wooden table with candle on top, white fence, green grass base. Fall Social. Tag signed Annalee and fence signed Chuck.

Annalee Doll Description: Last one. Annalee Thorndike completed "A World of Love" in the Fall of 2001 after retiring from the doll company she founded. Designed as a thank you gift to her loyal collectors, it was scheduled to be unveiled at the Annalee Social in June 2002. She did not live to present her final creation. Annalee passed away on April 7th, 2002, two months before the presentation. Dome included. Brass plaque is numbered #067 and signed by Annalee. This is probably one of the last pieces Annalee signed before her death. This has the original base. It has a split across the top and two on one side of the wooden base and one on the other. Annalee company had troubles with the bases spiltting so they replaced them for the customers that mailed them back. Otherwise doll is mint.

This outfit is an exact copy of an outfit Annalee use to wear to work. There are a total of three Annalee Artist Dolls and two Annalee Portrait Dolls. Annalee Thorndike put the "whimsy" in whimsical. This open edition portrait doll captures the uncanny likeness of Annalee in one of her favorite outfits. A great Mother's Day gift for any Annalee Collector.
