Open eyes, open mouth as shown, white hair and beard, red bandana, green gloves, black leather outfit accented with gold buckle and silver chain, sits on a blue motorcycle with flames and saddlebags filled with gifts draped over each side, on wooden base signed by Chuck Thorndike in 1999. This is a 1998 Annalee Doll Society Silent Auction Doll - one of a kind! Perfect gift for any biker, motorcyclist, Harley Davidson rider, especially NH Bike Week in June.

These are the first large Christmas elves that Annalee ever made - very rare! This doll came from the Annalee Museum. There is a blemish just above the mouth - does not detract from doll.

Annalee Doll Description: Last one. Prototype. Closed eyes, brown hair, wears a white scarf, maroon jacket, green and white plaid shirt, beige pants with a tan patch, holds feathered quill, sits on wooden stool at a wooden desk with a book open and candle, he is working late Christmas Eve, on a wood grain floor base. This is the prototype and came from the Annalee Museum. The base is made of cardboard and is hand cut. The candle and book are different than what went into production. Slight fading on maroon coat. Not noticeable unless you compare the underside. Very common for desk and chair to become unglued from base due to temperature changes. Glue repair might have been done on piece prior to shipping and might need it again upon receipt. I do the best I can to ship these, but once in awhile the desk comes unglued. Not hard to glue, but wanted to mention it.

The only flaw I can see on this doll is the hole where the wire comes out the back of the left foot is larger (1.5 inch) than the right foot (.5 inch). It probably was made this way, but wanted to mention it. This doll is in really nice condition for its age and the face is handpainted by Annalee. A must for the serious collector.
