I grade this an 5/10 as far as condition for a large doll from 1972. The grey body has overall fading, shelf dust with light brown spotting. A brown stain on the outside seam about 5 inches in length on his right leg. The red and white tie is discolored and has a 2" stain. Several moth nibbles under the chin and one on back of the head. This doll had previously been displayed in a restaurant in Meredith NH where Annalee and Chip frequently visited. Companion is D10-72a. Republican. A very rare piece. Annalee only produced the Patriotic Elephants in 1968, 1972 and 1976. Companion is D10-72a.
