It is common for the mylar base to get bends and creases due to storage. Covering it with heavy duty aluminum foil can solve this problem. Base on this doll is not as good when compared to a near mint base.

I recommend covering with tin foil if you desire a smooth look or try removing him off the base and have him sit on a bench or in the falling down position on the ice - ouch! Left hand has major fading, but can easily be hidden by repositioning that hand. Sold as is.
