This outfit is an exact copy of an outfit Annalee use to wear to work. There are a total of three Annalee Artist Dolls and two Annalee Portrait Dolls. Annalee Thorndike put the "whimsy" in whimsical. This open edition portrait doll captures the uncanny likeness of Annalee in one of her favorite outfits. A great Mother's Day gift for any Annalee Collector.

Designed as a thank you gift to her loyal collectors, it was scheduled to be unveiled at the Annalee Social in June 2002. She did not live to present her final creation. Annalee passed away on April 7th, 2002, two months before the presentation. Dome included. Brass plaque is numbered #570 and signed by Annalee. This is probably one of the last pieces Annalee signed before her death. This has the original base. It has a split across the top just under the grey mouse and another on the bottom part of the base on the left side below the dark haired girl in green. Annalee company had troubles with the bases spiltting so they replaced them for the customers that mailed them back. Otherwise doll is mint.
